3 Roller Rolling Machine

Three-roll bending machine (also known as arc downward-adjusting three-roll bending machine) is a high-efficiency, high-precision plate bending equipment derived from European technology. Its core feature is that the two lower rolls lift along an arc trajectory, enabling pre-bending of both ends of the plate and rolling into a circle with a single feeding.

  • Main Technical Features

Efficient Pre-Bending
Complete pre-bending at both ends + overall rolling with one feeding, no need to turn over the plate.
Short remaining straight edge (usually approximately equal to the plate thickness), high material utilization rate.

Full Roll Drive
All three rolls are driving rolls with large torque, effectively preventing plate slippage.
Suitable for rolling stainless steel, aluminum alloy and other slippery materials as well as thick plates.

High Precision & Stability
Arc lifting of the two lower rolls ensures high synchronization accuracy (up to ±0.2mm).
Equipped with self-aligning roller bearings, featuring low friction, high rigidity and long service life.

Versatility
Capable of rolling round, arc and conical workpieces.
Integrated with plate shaping and leveling functions.

    Machine Structure

    Top Roll: Fixed position, serving as the driving roll to provide main bending force and rotational power.
    Two Lower Rolls: Fully driven active rolls, powered by hydraulic motors, capable of lifting along an arc trajectory.

    Rolling Process

    ●  The plate is fed between the top roll and the two lower rolls.
    ●  The two lower rolls synchronously rise along the arc to clamp and press the plate.
    ●  The three rolls rotate synchronously, driving the plate forward via friction to achieve continuous bending.
    ●  The arc movement trajectory allows precise control of pre-bending at both ends of the plate, with minimal remaining straight edge.

    CNC Control System

    The control system is equipped with a 15-inch large screen.The control system has an automatic rolling program, which can realize one-button operation, automatically roll the material into a circle and arc at one time, and has data numbering, storage and call functions. It can store hundreds of data to facilitate automatic rolling of various specifications. The system is compatible with manual operation programs and can be manually operated when needed.

    Roll and Crown

    The most important elements of plate roll machines are the rolls themselves. Generally, machines in the market have smaller diameter, weak rolls that deform during the pre-bending process and causes a flat spot on the plate edge.
    Our machine designed the rolls with larger diameter and uses high quality forged steel rolls which are machined by high precise CNC lathes.
    The working surface of the rolls are CNC induction hardened and polished to HRC 54-58 with hardness tests performed at many points on the rolls. The smallest bending diameter of 3 x top roll diameter is easily achieved.
    The rolls are machined with a crown to compensate for roll deflection during the pre-bending process.
